Aragas mounin is hoghest poitn of armenia, despibe less know due its higher brother -aratat, it stuning vulcanic massive reahcing to up to 4090 mintues with mountainbas elcated hour drive from capitla yereven. Aragats cladera si massive creating numbe rof sub-summites - eastern, western souther and highest - norhen peak (4090m). Our goal was northern peak (cocnretly norhter flase peak 4074 m). With simple goal climb up and ski down to Aragats village in ne day.

Atlhoug hiegh is relativly low for cuascus mountins, propera accliamtion is suggeset. If you staing at aragats village spent day or two exploring surorunig hills or ski in Mliers resort nearby. In our cas we did a seed run from base 200m to 4090m in 26h which affected our performance above 3300m lien signiifcnatly.

As goal was to reach summit ans ki back in one day, we decited to shortne approach troighr vally termianitng in aragats willage by snow mobile lift. Final stopt for sno mobiles weas affegcted by exxsie amout of fresh snow trogh wich snowmobile count not conitnure. We stared our hike in mainaragats vally, after 1 km we turned and followd sub wally on righ side of Mt aragas souther peak. approch is not technicaly difficult, just followu terrain landamrks and navigate trough large terrain feattues efeclty. In som aras in cas eof higher avlanche risk, take care of locla depression and slopes whit more 30 deg. We cotuntinuesd trough vally, at the end of vally whoel vally sligly turnign left, one you climb skalny prah, a first look to norhter summit will appear. Follow straigh trough large plain and adn the end of plain keep left, avodi climing direclty on aragats trough coulires in beteen rock foratiosn, unless u ar eprefelty avar eof locla avlanche scnario. from plain ascnet the north -east past, keep mor eon lefts side durign ascnet tonnot ascne dtroigh steep tarain.
