To reach Flattop's East face there are two options, Flattop Mt. approach or Flattop East face approach via the Fern Lake trail. Climb as high as you like; the views only get better. The skiing is fun, open and can be great after a fresh snow. This area is generally safe due to its east facing aspect and lower angle slope. Enjoy.

Great skiing today although windy at the top. We were worried about avalanche danger but this was a safe slope even after all the snow. Did it twice and quite a few others were out in the bowl too. Mar 3, 2019
