Overview

This line is a sustained steep pitch from the summit to a small tarn sitting in the bowl on the southeast face of Sniktau. There are many lines down this face.

Need to Know

This is a spring skiing route. Skiers left has a few cornices. Be aware that unstable snowpack could cause avalanches. Skiing this route will require a long hike out. Do it early in the day when you have the energy to get out.

Description

While most choose to climb back out of the bowl to the ridge and return via the ascent route to Loveland Pass, there are a few other options to get back to civilization. One option is to continue skiing past the tarn and into the Kearney Creek drainage. Follow this to the road. Another option is skiing to the Bakersville Trailhead.
