The bottom of the bowl funnels into a potential terrain trap from the northwest slope as it can slide. Additionally, in the spring, one must beware the stream that flows underfoot.
The Northeast Bowl is easily accessible from the Northeast Face route. The open bowl descends to a small stream that leads out to I-70. Note that snow conditions in the forest are often different than snow conditions on the face. This can make for unexpected and treacherous travel.
