Need to Know

This is Class 3 avalanche terrain.

Description

This line sits in the middle of a series of steep couloirs and chutes on Fairview Mountain's south-facing terrain. It's a consistent pitch that drops between jagged rock outcrops onto an open apron. The best access route is to climb the chute using the Lake Fork Primitive Route to approach. Be aware that large slab releases and cornice collapses are common and keep this terrain on the dangerous side of the scale.
