Description

Start at the Brewer Trailhead and make sure to not follow Google Maps if coming from the north as it takes you on logging or almost non-existing roads. A vehicle with clearance is best.

Hike or skin from the parking lot and register for the climb. We stashed shoes once we got to the snow and returned for them on the descent.

We climbed to just over 10,000 feet and set up our basecamp. Others went a tad higher, but we had camp to ourselves and watched the mountain shadow as the sunset.

Got an early-ish start around 8 am and skinned up to the last 1,500 to 2,000 feet. Put skis on backpacks and booted the rest of the way to the summit as it was too steep for us to skin.
