Description

The Mount Aragats is the highest peak of present Armenia. This ski mountaineering route is located in Aragatsotn province on the eastern side of the mount. The route is covered with tough snow. The eastern summit is the second-high peak.

History & Background

Mount Aragats is considered the highest peak of Armenia (4090 m) with the 200 km diameter. In the past, Aragats was one of the largest volcanic formations in the world: the North Peak (4,090 m), West Peak (3,995 m), the East Peak (3908 m), and the South Peak (3887).
