This is the 5th steep, southeast-facing line in Long Canyon.

J. Bella
Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry
Wilderness area, no mechanized equipment, drones etc.

Description

This open line drops a few hundred feet into an alpine basin, and is one of a series of steep, avalanche-prone gullies in the south-facing bowl at the head of Long Canyon. Strong winds deposit snow at the top of this ridge, and the gullies below act like a sluice and catch snow that forms vertical drifts in the terrain features.
