Description
In summer, this road takes hikers to a trailhead for Mount Kearsarge. The road has several viewpoints, with great views in different directions. In winter, it is closed to all motorized traffic. This is a great cross country / backcountry workout. The road is just steep enough in places to make it for fun skiing, but not so steep that it is impossible to go up with fish scales or ski down with cross country gear.
Hiked up the access road > groomed trail > power line path. Bootpacked/groomed trail was slick but powerline section was soft, fun dust-on-crust.
