Home to the Peak 10 Classic, snow coverage is still sufficient well into the summer for this line to ski.

This lies outside the resort boundaries of Breckenridge, but is most easily accessed from the lifts, or by 4x4 (when dry).

Overview

I D5 R1
Usually best skied in the late spring to summer months, this line is readily accessible by hiking from the chairlift or by 4x4-ing. One of the easiest 13er skis out there!

Need to Know

Show up on July 4th with hundreds of other senders to participate in the PEAK 10 CLASSIC, complete with a wiggle (think berms for your skis) and three (usually large) kickers at the bottom! It's a fantastic fundraising event, with music, competitions, and prizes, not to mention some of the last good skiing in the state for the summer. Bring your bbq and a ride (or hitch-hike)!

Description

If the road is dry and the ski resort is closed, the approach can be significantly shortened by taking a capable car to the base of the snowfield. To do so, make sure you have some offroad knowledge and 4x4 capability (think: more than a Subaru).

Otherwise, take the Falcon SuperChair and begin the hike/skin uphill to Peak 10. Starting at the flagpole on the summit, ski northeast. Make turns down the wide-open bowl until you get to the lift or your car, whichever comes first.
