Need to Know

Stay east of the small hill at 5680 or it will be more difficult to get back to your car and you might end up above a good sized cliff along the highway.

Description

A great and easy cruising slope that winds through burned snags and small evergreens. The line starts at the summit following the gentle shoulder, then becoming steeper as you ski the main northwest slope around 6600'. The glades also become a little thicker but are still open at this elevation. If you find yourself at the large tree glades west of the lake at 5800' you've gone down too far.

When you reach the ski trail you can easily do another lap, or traverse east towards the trailhead. If you travel below the trail, stay east of the small hill at 5680, as getting a ride to the pass is difficult if you continue straight toward the road. Make sure to ski the shoulder to the northwest at the start, if you travel due north from the summit you'll be on the steeper North Face Scree Field, which is difficult to traverse out of.
