Description

From the parking area, head due east on what is a dirt road in the summer. The road is mellow at first, but it shortly begins to pitch upwards, and eventually turns to rolling terrain. You'll be traveling through mostly open fields, and the views from the skin track are excellent.

At mile 1.3 you'll ascend a steep hill, and come around a bend to reach a stunning viewpoint. Take the views in here, you've earned them. Also, from here it's much easier skiing! The track generally trends downward from here to the yurts. The trail is well marked, and will direct you to both yurts, which are well signed.
