Description

From Abyss Lake crampon up to Sawtooth Ridge past the first set of difficulties. Trend right when given the option and traverse through a few couloirs as you aim for the right-most obvious one. Take this to the ridge which should be roughly at the confluence of Sawtooth, Spaulding, and Blue Sky/Sawtooth part 2. Follow easy terrain towards the intimidating ridge heading off towards Blue Sky. It isn't as bad as it looks. Follow the line of least resistance which alternates between the ridgeline and the Southern slopes. Some carins and trail segments May be intermittently visible. I found that alternating between crampons and just boots was the best approach based on the conditions I discovered. The position and views are amazing, the travel is generally flat but rugged.
