Overview

From the valley, this is an obvious line that stands out on the mountain. Go get it done!

Description

I did this as a spring ski when conditions were close to bullet-proof. I would be hesitant to ski this line mid-winter, as it terminates in an obvious terrain trap.

If you make it to the start of this run, you should have verified, of course, that there was an overnight refreeze. Don't worry about a crusty approach.

If done around mid-April, the sun should soften the snow enough that it will be skiable upon your return. Likewise, the sun will also heat up the snow on this prominently south-face aspect.

Keep an eye on the temperature and watch for roller balls. Don't overstay your welcome. Again, it all terminates in a terrible terrain trap where snow will pile up deeply.
