Overview

II D5 R1
Avoid the large cornice at the top of the run.

Description

Go up past the Arapahoe Lakes, whichever way you choose. The approach follows the east shoulder of Frosty Mtn. (called simply Arapahoe Lakes on PP). Take note not to spend too much time under the cornice while skinning up, and make sure you're certain this can't be triggered from below during the winter.

Follow a steep skintrack up the shoulder to the summit. If deemed safe, make your way towards the cornice, but stop short. Ski whatever line looks best, or if avy conditions are too dangerous, go ahead and ski back the way you came.
