This is a rarely skied line since the drop in is a bit clandestine. It holds good snow as it is below treeline.

Overview

You can approach via Raven's Ridge by hiking up from any direction or skiing down from the Mil Lift. While everyone else is tomahawking on boilerplate chutes up higher, this might just be the choice.

Cody shared this gem with me, and it was a hoot!

Need to Know

Park near the Windsor TH. Don't miss the Nambe Trail. It's easy to do after a fresh snow.

Description

You can hike in from the Windsor Trail and take a right at the Wilderness Boundary at Raven's Ridge. Follow this east, and above the ski area until about the 12,000' pimple. Drop in the to the north and watch the cliffs (unless you're a huck doll). The chute opens up and into a wide runout.

Skin up and out via the Nambe Trail back to the Wilderness Boundary or back up and over to ski into the ski area. It's a great morning route if you're doing the afternoon ski inside the ski area.
