This run is relatively short, but it's a nice open slope where you can put in a few laps before skiing Beartrap Glades.

Description

Follow the route to Beartrap Fork. After passing the terrain-trap gully that is mentioned in those instructions, continue up the main Beartrap Fork drainage. A little after the main Beartrap Fork, the skin track turns right and climbs up the Beartrap Glades toward Silver, where there's a large clearing on the west side of Beartrap Fork. Switchback up through the aspen trees to reach the top of the clearing.

If you continue up to the ridgeline on the west side of Beartrap Fork, you'll be overlooking Lake Desolation. Be wary of the steep terrain that descends to Lake Desolation. It has been the site of numerous avalanche accidents.
