A wide open avalanche gully with wavelike wind drift features.

J. Bella
Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry

Description

This is the seventh chute in a series of steep, avalanche-prone gullies in the south-facing bowl at the head of the canyon. Strong winds deposit snow at the top of this ridge, and the gullies below act like a sluice and catch snow that forms vertical drifts in the terrain features.
