Description

Start at Lenado Trailhead parking, and follow the road uphill. After you cross a bridge, the road will fork, and you'll stay right to continue uphill.

Follow this road for about one mile until you hit the left-turning switchback. At the switchback, you'll take the Johnson Creek Trail on your right, which is well marked.

Continue winding up the Johnson Creek Trail for 1.5 miles until you reach another wide road. Take a right on this road, and travel slightly downhill for 0.25 mile. You'll begin climbing gradually again for another 2 miles.

After that, you'll take a left fork/switchback for a short climb to a saddle. Just to the north of the saddle, you'll reach another wide road. Head right onto this road and follow it to traverse for 0.5 mile. Turn right and follow the trail past a marked fence, which will take you straight to the hut.
