Need to Know

Snow conditions can be radically different between the different aspects this bowl covers.

Description

Ski down the gut! This bowl gets a nice wind buff from the prevailing westerlies. Parts are fairly steep, and the whole thing is an open glade ending in a flat meadow, which is convenient for a celebratory beer. When you're ready to hike out, cross the gully you found on the ascent and maintain a gentle downward traverse back to the skin track. Given how the slope rolls a bit, reapplying skins is recommended for splitboarders but skiers may find this unnecessary.

Fun terrain and good snow awaits on an ideal line heading back towards the parking areas.

Mostly hardened snow crust with pockets of snow softened from today's sun exposure. The ascent was the best part!
