“Another quick line on Little Ellis North - just a bit farther to the west (but longer vertical).”
— Gary Hellenga
Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry
This trail crosses State Lands, and a State Lands recreation permit is required (get one, good for a year, at any fishing license outlet for $10).
From Little Ellis Northside
ascent, head west along the old road cut. Pass the first open area (Little Ellis North - East Line
), go through a short patch of trees and cross a small but prominent stream bed. Make a gradual rising traverse from a stream bed to the ridge. Pick any of the obvious lines down the hill from here.
Very easy grade at the top - steepens to nice cruiser through new trees before ending at the ascent road. Lots of options for lines, but watch for downed trees that might trip you up!
