Trail shared by Brice Pollock

An east slope variation ascent of Mt. Morrison via Morrison Chute.

Brice Pollock
Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry
Don't leave your car overnight in the 'no overnight beyond this point' area.

Description

Start as far down the road as you can and then hike to trailhead. Had to use crampons instead of skinning on the lake trail due to ice since a slide on the slope would land you in the water. The snow was very hard up to the lower saddle even by afternoon in spring. However, the snow was great in the sun going up the chute.
