Overview

Ski descent from Dana summit, across Dana Plateau, down Coke Chute, and then down V Bowl.

Description

Moderate skiing off of the Dana summit drops into a tight couloir to the Dana glacier. This goes at 40-45 degrees depending on the snow pack. Traverse across Dana Lake and down the drainage, and then turn right to gain the Dana plateau. This is the low point of the tour, often this is wind scoured.

Turning to the plateau sooner will mean scaling steep, miserable talus. A number of fantastic routes descend from the plateau, but Coke Chute is the easiest. Still an awesome ski descent. It goes at 40 degrees.

From the apron, a short, flat traverse leads you to the top of V Bowl and the descent to parking.
