A scenic access road leading to the Blue Lakes Hut.

Tom Robson
Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry

Description

From the winter trailhead, the route follows a gradual incline for almost three miles. After you crest this incline, the road skirts a low-lying swampy area which has amazing views of Mt. Sneffels. From this low-lying area, the road continues south and kicks up one last time to reach the Blue Lakes Hut.
