The approach to the classic Peak 9699 line.

Christian Paul
Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry

Description

Start from the Spruces lot and ascend through a narrow stand of trees. Once you arrive at the first flat spot, your turn off for Greens Basin is just above you on the left. This makes a quick ascent to the first ridge, then you traverse the face into Greens Basin.

Once in the basin you'll climb the shoulder through the trees until you arrive at the top of the Meadow Chutes. From here, follow the glades until you summit your first peak. You are now on Peak 9699. Return the same way you came in.
