Description

The Montgomery Bowl is an easily lap-able area from the Montgomery Pass Approach. After the longer approach, the upper approach is fast, and there are abundant (flat) areas to put on/take off skins. Additionally, you'll be moving above the treeline, which makes for spectacular views. Especially on bluebird days, this is an excellent place to stop for a photo.

This area sees a lot of traffic, but it handles numbers well. As with most endeavors, earlier morning outings will reward visitors with solitude and fresh tracks.
