Overview

This is a moderate spring line that is south facing and starts around 12,500' from the western shoulder just below the summit of Mt Machebeuf.

Description

From the summit of Mt Machebeuf, descend the upper summit cone to the western shoulder at roughly 12,500'. There is an obvious gully with a view all the way down to the Herman Gulch skintrack. This gully is several hundred feet wide and over 1,000' long, so it makes for a great easy descent with secure turns.

There is a slight choke about three-quarters of the way down with a slightly steeper angle below this point, but even at it's steepest the angle in this gully never exceeds 32-34 degrees (still avalanche terrain though).
