Description

Unlike many other hut approaches, this one follows a singletrack that is not open to snowmobiles and is particularly pleasant.

From the Yoeman Park trailhead, continue down East Brush Creek Road, passing Fulford Road and Newcomer Spring trail until you get to Fulford Cave campground after 1.5 miles. Here you'll circle around a lake and find the start of Ironedge Trail near several private buildings. The real climbing begins here and you now have 1,500' of continuous climbing in just over 2 miles - a good workout! Near the top, you'll find many old roads, but follow the trail to the left of them and you'll find the hut to the east of a small saddle.
