Description

A short section of the forest has been thinned out here, making for some enjoyable skiing. Park off Bailey Pond Rd (aka the Old Railroad Bed) and skin up the logging road. Near the beaver pond, skin off the road to the left. Persistence pays off here, as it might take some poking around to find the thinned section.

Skin up the glade to the top. The ridge isn't too steep, so it's a pleasant climb. For a better view skin to the south end of the summit where there are some nice open areas with a southward view (and maybe a natural glade going down the southwest facing gully between Burnt and Marshfield Mtn).
