Overview

The awesome-looking, gorgeous, and clean line that you see from the bottom of the Pass. If you can't find this line, you are not looking.

Need to Know

This bowl is avy controlled by WYDOT with the Avalanche Guard, which throws explosives, and Gazex, which ignites compressed gas into an explosion to remotely trigger avalanches to keep the Pass clear, and safe. In the event of a skier/rider-triggered avalanche, lots of lives would be in jeopardy. Don't ski this in anything other than absolutely safe conditions.

Be mindful of other Pass users when hiking, or hitchhiking on the Pass road, especially during the commute hours.

Description

A wide open powder bowl, there are many lines to be had. The bowl funnels down to a cliff band, with one or two obvious chutes going through. If you are trying for a faster run, you may be able to traverse (skiers' right) above this band and into the Twin Slides area, leading you closer to the lot.

Going through the cliff band, this run turns more into a gully run, with a few more bands to work through, or around, snowpack dependent.

When you reach the bottom, high five your partner, and start walking the 1/4 mile or so back up towards the Glory lot (keep an eye out for a friendly pickup driver who may give you a lift!).
