Description

Follow Colorado Rd 2 around the south side of Quick Shot Ascent. Continue on the gentle road straight through the middle of Y-Knot Couloir, the road is sometimes melted out just around the next corner, either boot pack or continue skinning to the end of Colorado Rd 2 and an obvious saddle below the open slopes of North Star Peak. The usual skin track follows a fence line on the right hand side of the shoulder. Climb as high as you can depending on the coverage. Typically the ridge is wind scoured and barren above 12,800'.

Had to start booting around 12k. On the way down, I threw the skis on at 12.8, took them off for a sec, and skied to the notch by the collapsed shed.
