Need to Know

This area offers many options for ascents and descents.

Description

Park at the Antelope Butte pullout off Hwy 14 (don't block the Antelope Butte Access Road). The approach starts on the west side of Hwy 14 and the climb begins within the first 50 yards. It is not necessary to skin up the open glade of the top pitch.

From the halfway bench, skin climber's right, switchbacking above a low cliff band in the denser trees and through a small gap in the summit cliff band. This leaves The Nose itself untracked for the descent, and has safer snow pit assessment spots.
