“An easy climb to Shadow Mountain providing beautiful views of the Tetons all throughout.”
— Hrishi Chandanpurkar
Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry
This route ends about 200 feet short of the actual summit of Shadow Mountain, but that summit is covered with trees, so this spot provides a great panorama of the Teton Range, and serves as a good turn about point to make for an eight-mile round-trip outing. From the parking area, follow the East Boundary Road northeast until you come to the junction with the Shadow Mountain Road. Turn right here and climb on this wide path through the trees up toward the summit of Shadow Mountain.
