Description

Skinning in on the Herman Lake Trail takes you to the Continental Divide and fun ski lines of all types.

Use Exit 218 off I-70 just before Loveland Pass if you're heading west. A large parking lot gives you access to the trailhead.

Follow the Herman Lake Trail toward Herman Lake for several miles (there is a left turn at a trail junction within the first 0.5 miles.) Then when the trail takes a right and heads steeply uphill toward the lake, continue straight up the drainage (near the creek) to access ski lines off the Citadel and surrounding peaks.

Dazee and I mid day exercise. Could use a storm or two more to be good for the lines at the top.
