Direct Route to Mt. Margaret Summit

Scott Heinz
Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry
Snow Park Pass and Groom Trails permit required during winter

Description

Mt. Margaret has a classic west facing old growth forest that is excellent for storm days and preserved powder stashes. This approach leaves the groomed trail directly after the Rocky Run bridge and angles east north east towards the summit, crossing a few logging roads en route. A Snow Park pass and Groomed trails permit is required from the false summit and true summit many runs exist. There is sled travel in the area, but this route generally avoids them.
