Description

This area is a good place to head for some storm day skiing. If done correctly, the approach and descent avoid serious avalanche terrain. The route up is less than an hour's skin, and though strenuous at the end, is definitely lap-able terrain. The ascent starts with a gentle traverse in, and then switchbacks up the ridge.

Be wary of setting the skintrack too far to the skinner's left, as it can traverse under avalanche terrain. Then ski down near the skin track or to the skier's left of it. Skiing too far left cliffs out. Once you reach the bottom, slap your skins on for another lap.
