Great line! Skied out pretty bad, the last snow was more than a week past. A little steeper than my personal preference. History

Ridge ascent from Peru Creek Winter Closure parking to Tiptop Peak (Caddy Couli).

Denver Powderwhores

Description

Non-motorized use during the Winter w/ posted signs. Peru Creek Road #260. White River National Forest.
From the parking lot look for a skin track or terrain features that identifies the ridge. Once you've made the ridge it's fairly basic until the technical sections that are slightly exposed w/ steep slope angles. This is not an easy skin so don't be afraid of the tree assist! LOL

Follow the ridge up through the trees until you make it the top of Caddilac Couloir from there you can see Grays/Torreys, Chihuahua Gulch & tons of terrain to the NW/N/NE. With W/SW views of Glacier, Bear, and Independence Mountains on the way up. Scope some other lines, plan, then GO!

This ascent is perfect for skiing Cadillac Gully & other north facing shots in the Peru Creek Zone.
