Overview

This is a wide-open, sustained intermediate run with amazing views of the pass. Watch out for rocks poking out (there is typically not great coverage here due to wind). Most of this run is above tree line, so you can ski virtually wherever you want.

Need to Know

The upper section of this line tends to be wind-scoured during the winter meaning it's often not accessible.

Description

Traversing far enough to skiers right will lead you to the chutes within Hell's Half Acre. Traversing far enough to skiers left will lead you to the Floral Park trails.

Stick to the middle to ski back down towards Powderline and Bonanza or to arrive back at the Berthoud Pass parking lot.

early season had a decent amount of exposed rock - I cut off it and took the CAT trail down to Powderline — 11h 00m

As always, nice easy hike up with a great view of the Pass. Limited coverage above the treeline (skree field mostly exposed, rendering it un-skiable)
