A nice skin to Pine Mountain from the Bennetts Pond parking.

Morgan Patterson

Overview

Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry

Description [Suggest Changes]

Park at the Bennetts Pond Parking Lot and follow the trail up to the meadow. Continue following back and left to the next field, ascend the small knoll, take off your skins and enjoy the ski down to the pond. Once at the pond get your skins out and head west across the pond. Once you reach the steep area visible with cliffs and a slight bowl, head up into the trees to the top of Pine Mountain. The Red Trail ascends the south face and can be a good reference to the peak.

Best in Spring conditions with 2-3 ft base.
