The most traveled skin track at Big Creek Summit.

joelchaudoir Chaudoir
Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry

Description

The skin track up the ridge to "Peak #1" accesses short but good powder runs back down to the road, dropping off skinners right. Skiing off of "Peak #1" is best during storm cycles as the main line faces south and is exposed to sun radiation. Catch it right and you'll not be sorry. Once you've had your turns, it's just a short hike or skin back to the car.

Point of interest - there is a Snotel site not far from the parking for good snow fall info.
