Spruce Creek Basin: Francie's Cabin Approach

Get an early start unless your staying at Francie's Cabin (then lucky you). This is the approach to Francie's Cabin (check out Hutski.com and the huts.org for more resources).

Park at the Spruce Creek trailhead and skin up. Start up the Spruce Creek trailhead, you'll come to a Y in the trail. Veer to the left continuing on Spruce Creek trail (taking the right will put you on the Crystal Creek approach). Continue along Spruce Creek for roughly one mile. There will a sharp switchback heading to the north at this point, this is Crystal Lake road.

Take this switchback onto Crystal Creek road and continue up it for a little under three-quarters of a mile. You'll eventually connect with the Crystal Creek basin approach and break out of tree line. Continue on the Crystal Creek basin approach.
