Mt Tuscora is commonly accessed from Alta's Supreme Chairlift although Grizzly Gulch is a quick hike away.

Asher Margolies
Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry

Description

From Alta, leave the backcountry gate at the top of Supreme lift and head towards Sunset Peak. Once you reach Rocky Point, turn left and head down Catherines Pass and up to the summit of Mt. Tuscora. A few routes drop off into the bowls at Catherines Pass along the way. From Grizzly Gulch, follow the route to Patsy Marley and pass Mt Wolverine along your way to its sister peak, Mt Tuscora.

Mt Tuscora has Seagull Chute on its east side which is a great way to ski down to Brighton Ski Resort. Otherwise hike up Catherines Pass and back up to the Summit of Mt. Tuscora.
