Approach for Moonlight Peak.

Austin Yeoman
Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry

Need to Know

This area offers many options for ascents and descents.

Description

Park at the Antelope Butte pullout off HW 14 (don't block the Antelope Butte Access Road). The approach starts on the west side of HWY-14 and the climb begins within the first 50 yards. Skin straight up; the climb slightly levels out halfway to the summit. The last push of the climb is a steep lung pumper, and I suggest a few switchbacks to reach the summit.
