Plan to cover approximately one mile per hour. Leave early in the day.

Tom Robson
Type: Backcountry or Sidecountry

Description

The trail is marked with blue circles with a silver tree in the middle, which make it difficult to lose your way to the Leadville Backcountry Yurts. With a nearly 6 mile approach, you'll want to make sure that you leave plenty of time to get yourself into the woods and a yurt before night really settles in.

There are private property signs as well, but they refer to adjacent lands; please stay on the county roads that lead to the yurt as described below. Also, respect this multi-use trail, as it is shared with skiers, snowmobilers and others.
