Advice For a "New" Arrival in So-Cal

Hi All,

It's been a few years since I moved to LA, but I have barely managed to get out to go skiing.  Seeking partners to ski with and get out into the backcountry in Southern California (Sierras, Mt Baldy, San Gorgonio, or who knows where else, I don't know the area very well!).

For those of you who have been here a while -- are there any resources to know about for finding backcountry huts in the Sierras and in Southern California?  Recommendations for classes or groups?  I would really like to organize a hut trip next winter.

Seeking any advice and information...and if you want to get out to go skiing, give me a shout!

Stephen
